Air India

Air India is the proud flag carrier airline of India. Air India is oldest and largest airline service operator. Third largest airline in India in terms of passengers carried. It is owned by Air India Limited, a Government of India enterprise and operates a fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft serving various domestic and international destinations. Air India has major hubs at New Delhi Airport and Mumbai Airport and secondary hubs at Kolkata Airport and Chennai Airport.

Air India currently flies for 53 domestic destinations and 26 international destinations in 19 countries across Asia, Europe and North America. Air India has a well maintained fleet of 121 aircrafts (91 owned, 22 on dry lease and 8 on sale-and-lease) from Airbus and Boeing companies covering short, medium and long routes.

Spice Jet

SpiceJet is an Indian low-cost airlines headquartered in Gurgaon. It is India's fourth biggest airlines by number of travellers conveyed. The airline operates more than 270 every day flights to 40 destinations, including 34 Indian and 6 worldwide cities. On December 17, all flights were grounded after oil companies declined to refuel its aircraft. Flights continued the next day. In January 2015, the Sun Group sold its whole shareholding to the airlines founder Ajay Singh and transferred control. Toward the end of 2015, SpiceJet's operations experienced a huge rise with 93% of accessible seats on flights being filled and just 0.13% of scheduled flights cancelled each month. On 7 March 2005, the Airports Authority of India endorsed three overnight parking slot to SpiceJet, with two in Delhi and one in Mumbai. SpiceJet opened bookings on 18 May 2005. The first flight was flagged off by Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Praful Patel. The first Boeing 737-800 aircraft departed Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi for Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai on 24 May 2005. By 2008, it was India's second-biggest low-cost airlines in term of market share.

Indigo Airlines

IndiGo is an Indian top low-cost airlines. It is the biggest carrier in India as far as travellers flown with market share of 36.5% as of September 2015 The airlines offers more than 681 every day flights associating with 40 destinations including 5 worldwide destinations. It presently operates a fleet of 101 aircraft with the Airbus A320 family.

IndiGo was set up in mid-2006 by Rahul Bhatia of InterGlobe Enterprises and Rakesh Gangwal, a United States-based NRI. InterGlobe holds 51.12% stake in IndiGo and 48% is held by Gangwal's Virginia-based organization Caelum Investments. IndiGo placed a order for 100 Airbus A320-200 airplane in June 2005 with arrangements to initiate operations in mid-2006. IndiGo has started operations on 4 August 2006 with a service from New Delhi to Imphal via Guwahati. Before the end of 2006, airlines had six aircraft. Nine more aircraft were acquired in 2007 taking the aggregate to 15. It as of now had 17.3% of the market share, behind Kingfisher Airlines and Jet Airways. By mid 2012, IndiGo had taken the delivery of its 50th aircraft in under six years. In 2011, IndiGo placed an order 180 aircraft Airbus A320, which pushed up the percentage of Airbus aircarft in India to 73%.

Go Air

Go Airlines (India) Ltd. is the aviation foray of the Wadia Group. It operates its services under the brand GoAir. In November 2005, GoAir launched its operations as a low-fare carrier with the objective of commoditizing air travel and offering airline seats at a marginal premium to train fares across India. The airline currently operates over 140 daily flights and approximately 975 weekly flights across 22 destinations.

The GoAir route network spans prominent business metros as well as key leisure destinations across the Indian subcontinent. GoAir currently services the airports at Ahmedabad, Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Guwahati, Jaipur, Jammu, Kochi, Kolkata, Leh, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Port Blair, Pune, Ranchi, and Srinagar. Through this route network GoAir ensures a smart value-for-money option for both business and leisure travellers, without compromising on either safety or service factors.

Air Vistara

Vistara, a full-service airline, is a joint venture between Tata Sons Ltd. and Singapore Airlines (SIA).

The name Vistara is drawn from the Sanskrit word Vistaar, which means limitless expanse. Just like the limitless expanse of the sky, the name also alludes to the limitless possibilities, which mirrors their ambitions.

Also ingrained in Vistara is the word tara, a star, which is depicted in their logo. Derived from the yantra, a perfect mathematical form representing an unbounded, perfectly balanced universe, their logo is the Vistara Star. With an eight-pointed star in the centre, the dynamically intertwined forms of the Vistara Star create a continuous shape that represents the seamless experience they will deliver.

Air Asia

AirAsia India is an Indian low cost carrier headquartered in Chennai, India. The airline is a joint venture with AirAsia Berhad holding 49% stake in the airline, Tata Sons holding 40.06% and Arun Bhatia holding the remaining 10% through his company, Telestra Tradeplace. Air Asia India commenced operations on 12 June 2014 with Bangalore as its primary hub.

AirAsia is the first foreign airline to set up a subsidiary in India and the company marked Tata's return to aviation industry after 60 years, having ceded Air India in 1946. As of February 2016, AirAsia India is the third largest low cost carrier in India, after IndiGo and SpiceJet with a market share of 2.2%

Air Pegasus

Air Pegasus is a regional airline based in Bangalore, India. The airline is a subsidiary of Decor Aviation, an aircraft ground-handling services company. It commenced operations on 12 April 2015 with its inaugural flight between Bangalore and Hubli. As of May 2016, Air Pegasus serves eight airports across South India from its main hub at Kempegowda International Airport in Bangalore with a fleet of three ATR 72–500 aircraft.


Air India Express

Air India Express, India's first international airline that offers great value for money and efficient service.Air India Express mission is to provide convenient connectivity in the short-range routes at the most affordable prices to passengers.

Air India Express fleet consists of state of the art 19 B737-800 aircraft. In keeping with their mission to provide budget travel, their aircrafts will have single class economy. The capacity of these aircraft is around 180 seats.


Turbo Megha Airways Pvt Ltd is a scheduled regional carrier (South) and operates under the brand name Trujet. They have a fleet of three ATR-72 500 aircrafts (72 seats) and are in the process to engage for more aircraft. They started their operations wef Jul 12, 2015 and are currently operating to airports such as Hyderabad, Aurangabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Cuddapah, Goa, Nagpur, Rajahmundry, Tirupati, and Vijayawada. They plan to expand to more cities soon.
